The Digestive System

 

In science, we have been learning all about the human body.  We learnt about the digestive system!  We acted out the journey from the food to the mouth.  Can you remember the journey?  Can you remember what each part of the digestive system does?

Times Table Boot Camp!

In Year 4 in maths this week, we have been having a times table boot camp!  We have played lots of games to help us learn our times tables.  You have all been set the challenge to learn your multiplication tables 1-12 by the end of the year.  We will be doing regular tests to test these!  (This week it is the 6 times table) 
Try your hardest to do this, because remember that if you succeed you will earn yourself a special treat and if enough of the class succeed, we will hold a multiplication party at the end of the year.

How do we feel about York?

We have had an awesome day - Amber.
On the walk along the wall, all of the stones were different shapes and there was one that which was 15 sided!  I would like to find out what a 15 sided shape is called - Maya.
We did so much walking that my legs nearly collapsed, but it was worthwhile - Elliot.
The walk was really long! So long, that I got hungry half way through - Pele.
We walked down haunted steps - Rudra.
It was so long, it made my legs feel weak - Niamh.
The walk took forever but I had fun - Madison.
We drove so far on the coach, it took about 3 and a half hours.  I'm glad though because it was worth it - Matthew.
York has been epic so far - Sharla.
My feet are killing me, I am ready for bed - Mrs. McConnell.
Even though the trip was awesome, I am exhausted - Theo.
I've had a great time and the place is really cool - Ethan.

My favourite bit was going to the park - Aadil.
I liked when we went on the ride in the Jorvik Viking Centre because we got to smell different smells and got to hear the Viking language - Madison.
The house is a very lovely place and the staff were very kind.  My favourite thing was going in the Jorvik Viking Centre and smelling the different smells - Ethan.
My legs are about to drop off - Jan.

 

Children In Need

 

Year 4 were very lucky this year to be able to lead Children in Need.  Miss Gandy entered us into a competition and we won a Prize Box with lots of goodies inside!  She thought it was a small box...

 



Roald Dahl Day
